The 2017 Student Conference Experience is a new program available to high school students interested in participating in the FMEA Professional Development Conference outside of the realm of All-State. The program will take place on Thursday and Friday of the 2017 FMEA Professional Development Conference.

The purpose of the Student Conference Experience is to provide an aesthetic experience for select music students across the state during the annual conference.

Students will participate in workshops, observe rehearsals, attend College Night, and engage in social activities with their peers.

Criteria:

  • Music Directors must register for the FMEA Professional Development Conference and register the students in the "Student Conference Experience" section of the on-line conference registration
  • ALL High School students (9-12 grade) are eligible
  • Students must have one parent chaperone to attend all activities with them. No exceptions, Music Directors or all-state chaperones are not eligible to chaperone the Student Experience participants
  • Students and designated chaperones are required to reside at the Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore hotel during the conference. Ask for the "FMEA Student Experience Group" rate
